The Village’s elected officials and administrative staff take a proactive approach to Economic Development through staff teamwork, streamlined application processes and customized incentives. An involved and cooperative relationship exists between the Village, School District #118, Wauconda Park District, Wauconda Fire Protection District, Wauconda and Fremont Townships, and the existing business community. Three major highways, U.S. Route 12, U.S. Route 59, and Illinois Route 176, intersect Wauconda.

O’Hare airport is just a short drive from Wauconda.
