LINDA STARKEY

Born and raised in the Chicago area, Linda Starkey graduated from Northwestern University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry and Biochemistry. She worked as the Quality Control Lab Manager for Helene Curtis before transitioning to raising her three children and volunteering for various organizations, including the Foglia YMCA, St Francis DeSales Church, Girl Scouts, and Boy Scouts.

Linda served as a Village Trustee in North Barrington and in 1999 was elected mayor, and re-elected mayor in 2003. She then managed her family's move to Singapore, and during that five year period served local charities in southeast Asia and became Vice President of the American Women’s Association. She and her family returned to the area, and became active in Wauconda area charities and causes.

Linda is the owner of Threads Boutique on Main Street and Managing Director of G&L Investment Group which owns and manages properties in the area. Linda is a Director of Star Charities, a 501c3 non-profit that raise money for local charities through events such as the Wauconda Turkey Trot, Bunny Hop, and Shamrock the Block.

 Trustee Starkey was elected to the Wauconda Village Board in 2011 and re-elected in 2015.
