Village of Wauconda Construction Updates

The Construction Update page is intended to keep community residents updated on projects both approved and active in the Village of Wauconda, and those that are planned for the future. These projects relate to critical infrastructure such as water service, waste treatment and collection, and Village roadways.

The ‘Current Projects’ section is related to work that is approved and on-going for the Village. This page will be updated regularly with the most current information available to keep residents informed about activities in their neighborhood. Please keep in mind that weather and other factors may interfere with project schedules and planned activities.

The ‘Future Projects’ section is work that is part of a 5 year plan to enhance the Village’s infrastructure in order to extend useful life, improve capabilities, or replace aging portions of these systems in order to improve reliability.

In November of 2008, Village of Wauconda voters passed a road bond for road improvements throughout the Village. This three year project will cover road repairs, repaving, curb repair and maintenance and (limited) drainage improvement work in these areas. Construction began on this project in the Spring of 2009.

Over the period of this project, we will continue to monitor road conditions and the roads selected will be continually re-evaluated to include those most in need of repair.
