Village of Wauconda Takes Measures to Limit Spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Updated March 23, 2020.  The Village of Wauconda is taking preventative measures to help limit the spread of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19).

In response to Governor Pritzker’s “Stay At Home Order” to help limit the spread of COVID-19 and to reduce the exposure of the Village’s public facilities to this disease, the Village Hall (located at 101 N. Main Street) and the Community Development Department (located at 109 W. Bangs Street) will be closed to the public through April 7th and be suspending all over-the-counter services, including utility bill payments, building/zoning permits, permit inspections, and all licensing and registration services.

The Wauconda Police Department (located at 311 S. Main Street) will still be providing limited over-the-counter services to the public; however, certain services will be suspended during this time, including child seat safety checks and installations, fingerprinting (non-arrest), and vehicle lock-out assistance.  The Village is urging residents to avoid any unnecessary in-person visits during this time.

The Village Hall will be open temporarily on Monday, March 23rd at 1:00 p.m. for a Special Village Board meeting.
